Take on the role of a professional footballer in the Be A Pro: Co-op season where you will be challenged to master the same disciplines as a real football professionals with everything from reading the game and positioning themselves correctly to tackles and passing games. Enter the field with your created player to play an entire match as that particular player and develop him into a true pro during the season by improving one skill at a time. Play together with up to three friends where you focus on each player during the match but still win glory for the team while you compete on who manages to develop the best player at the end of the season.
FIFA 08 challenges you to think and react like a real football player from the first moment you enter the pitch by giving you complete control over everything that happens. New manual controls allow you to control the game with total control over cutters and crushing balls and you can now also control the goalkeeper in one-on-one situations to stop the shooter on your own. You can also take control of your defenders with new manual controls where the right lever is used to quickly change players and choose who you want to control. New positions in the defensive also ensure that the players are in the right place at the right time, and that they have full control over all threats and opportunities.
