The goal is clear in the Turf Wars game mode: Take over as much ground as possible by covering the surroundings with your teams color. The team with the most territory wins! Become an octopus on and off to quickly swim through your teams ink, you can also swim up along walls to get higher, ambush your opponents or figure out some wicked strategy to win.

FRESH NEWS
Customize your own character ? Change eye color, hair style, and skin color when creating your character. You will also be able to choose between different clothes, hats and shoes and more.
Galleria ? Visit one of the various shops in the Inkopolis Galleria to update yourself on the latest fashions in clothing, equipment and weapons.
Equipment ? ??Different equipment in Splatoon 2 gives you different skills. Among other things, there is certain equipment that reduces your ink consumption or that allows you to move faster. There is also equipment that makes you respawn faster than otherwise.

NEW WEAPONS
The weapons in Splatoon 2 fall into three different categories, primary weapons, secondary weapons, and special weapons. There are many different weapons to choose from, ranging from long-range weapons to melee weapons.

Main Weapons - Some of the new main weapons are Clash Blaster, Flingza Roller, Go Tuber and Dapple Dualies.
Secondary Weapons - You can of course shoot ink and attack with these weapons but they also come with special abilities. For example, they can act as a defense or reveal your opponents positions. For example, the new weapon Autobomb will be able to find enemies and automatically follow them, while Toxic Mist spreads a toxic gas that reduces the ink in the opponents tanks for those who come close. If you are hit by this gas, you will also not be able to move as fast as otherwise.
Special Weapons - All of these weapons in Splatoon 2 are brand new. Among these weapons we find Tenta Missiles, Inkjet, String Ray and The Baller, which lets players roll up walls like a hamster ball. Special weapons can be used as soon as a players special meter is filled.

MANY DIFFERENT GAME MODES
Turf War - The Turf War game mode returns in Splatoon 2. Two teams of four compete to see which team can cover the largest area with their teams color. Many new courses with different themes will be available. How about, for example, a city track, a sports club, a school or a BMX track? Play multiplayer together locally and online For the first time in this game series, you can play against friends in Turf War battles. Play either on your TV, in portable mode or in tabletop mode. Up to 10 docked Nintendo Switch consoles ? eight players and two spectators ? can connect via wireless network and create private tournaments without having to connect to the internet. Online matches are also making a comeback.
Salmon Run - In this new game mode, a team of up to four players must work together to defeat bosses and collect Power Eggs in a limited time. Each match in Salmon Run consists of three waves where the team must collect a certain number of eggs to advance to the next wave. Salmon Run can be played in local multiplayer with friends at any time or online at specific times just like Splat Fests.
Ranked Battles ? In this game mode, it is varied every two hours between three different game modes, Splat Zones where the different teams must defend specific Splat Zones placed in different places on the courses. Tower Control, a fast and hectic game mode with towers moving around the tracks and the chaotic Rainmaker game mode. By winning in any of these game modes, the players ranking increases. Ranked Battles can be played online*. The various game modes in Ranked Battles can also be played in local multiplayer** in so-called Private Battles.
League Battles - Form a team with your friends and fight your way to the top.
Singleplayer Hero Mode - One half of the famous Squid Sisters, Callie, has gone missing ? Marie has tasked you with finding her! Use a variety of weapons such as the Splat Roller, Slosher, Splatling or the new Splat Dualies to overcome obstacles in your path, defeat enemies and win over giant bosses in your quest to reunite the Squid Sisters.

NYA TRENDER, BANOR OCH SPÄNNANDE UPPDATERINGAR
Det har gått två år i Splatoon-världen och mycket har förändrats. Några bekanta ansikten kommer att dyka upp igen, men vi kommer också få lära känna en hel del nya karaktärer.

Det kommer att finnas helt nya banor såsom Humpback Pump Track och Musselforge Fitness att utforska. Dessutom kommer nya uppdateringar att släppas löpande med nya banor, nytt spelläge och nya vapen.
