Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash marks a change in direction for our tiny robot hero. A literal change in direction, in fact. Where previous games starring the little fella had him completing tasks in a third-person, 3D environment, this latest game is a 2D sidescroller in the time-honoured Nintendo style.

When aliens start stealing Earths natural resources, it falls to everyones favourite helper robot to scupper their plans!

Using his trademark plug and cord, Chibi-Robo can swing over chasms, grapple to scale walls, whip foes and ricochet shots. Using boost balls, he can extend his cord and use it to access previous out-of-reach areas to scavenge for collectibles (including some delicious real-world snacks!)

Theres a little something extra for amiibo users, too. By scanning a Chibi-Robo amiibo, players can get to a Toy Capsule Machine that unlocks items such as collectible in-game figurines and bonus stages. To sweeten the pot a little more, players can also use other amiibos once a day to earn spendable in-game coins. The Chibi-Robo itself can be levelled up, too, by recording score data to it. By levelling it up, players can increase the number of times a day it can be used, as well as increase their chances of unlocking rarer items!
