Build a criminal empire: Expand your criminal empire by choosing a business (you can run maple bars, union patronage and casinos, among others), assemble a group of loyal gangsters and make a name for yourself on the streets. Once you excel, you can take over rival territory and expand your business to gain more influence.

Defend and expand territory: Sometimes your gang has to show whos in charge ? and then you have to fight brutal, turn-based battles. Recruit minions smartly and make sure your group has good personal chemistry to maximize damage and keep an iron grip on the city.

A Living World: Explore the stunning streets of Chicago in the 1920s and interact with lifelike characters who have lives of their own and react to what you do - and dont do. Talk, seduce, threaten and kill to get your way.

Exercising Influence: Create and split alliances, bribe cops, and do business on the black market to grow in rank and expand your criminal gang. But always make sure to keep an eye on the enemy and have both a mole and eyes in the neck.

Multiple Paths to Success: There are a variety of ways to become the King or Queen of Chicago - whether you choose to rise to the top through violence, social influence, or by becoming notorious in town. Thanks to different starting conditions and changing group dynamics, no playthrough is the same.
