Way of the Samurai 3

In Way of the Samurai 3 we travel to Amana, a land ruled by the feudal ruler, Shuzen Fujimori. After Shuzen dethrones the former ruler, Lord Sakurai, he becomes the new ruler. The Fujimori Clan is growing force in Amana. This evolution also increases enemies targeting the precious territory. But those who suffer most under Fujimoris rule are the poor farmers. They are obliged to work around the clock and are charged with heavy taxes. It is Fujimoris only means of financing his army.

Power struggle

The high pressure on the people is not only causing unrest, other parties are also feeling the tensions. In Amana, three major factions are now fighting for the territory. The Fujimori Clan, the Ouka Clan and the Takatane Villagers. The Ouka Clan is made up of vassals of the Sakurai Clan and other outcasts looking for power. The unrest in Amana gives them hope to overpower Lord Fujimori. The Takatane villagers are a harmonious people who want to live a peaceful life. Inexplicably, the three factions come together and the story of Way of the Samurai 3 unfolds.

Samurai Tradition

Traditionally, Way of the Samurai emphasizes the different storylines that fit into a larger whole. All your in-game actions and choices introduce you to different storylines. Of course you cannot discover everything on your first turn. In total you can discover 20 different endings. While the previous games gave you limited freedom, this game allows you to explore an open world. On your adventure, you are faced with moral choices: are you honorable, loyal and respectful or are you corrupt, hostile and greedy? The game motivates you to play as an honorable ronin. After each play session you will receive points, the more honor, loyalty and respect you show, the more points you will earn. So think carefully before you split someone in half with one of 100 different weapons.
