In Armored Core 4, you join one of six factions, each with their own combat specialties. You have to liberate the population with this group of rebels. The population is oppressed by an economic system created by a conglomerate of companies called the Companies.

This fourth Armored Core game features thirty missions, all set in a futuristic setting. In one mission you fly through a ravine and in another mission you find yourself in a city. The environments vary widely, but the goal remains the same: you have to defeat hordes of enemies.

During battle you can use Quick Boost and Over Boost. These features allow you to handle explosives more accurately and control remote controlled units with more precision. You also have Primal Armor, a shield that adapts its powers to the specific elements of each battle.
