Nintendo characters can now come to life in many new ways as an amiibo figure. They are interactive figures that have the ability to communicate with specially designed games with amiibo compatibility just by pressing them against the Wii U GamePad.

amiibo can interact with amiibo-compatible games when players push them against the Wii U GamePad, which reads in-game data and saves data to the figure.
In Super Smash Bros Wii U, players can battle with or against their amiibo characters while leveling up. They can then bring them to another Wii U console and show how theyve trained and customized their own amiibo characters.
