As the name indicates, the developers Kaze (who are synonymous with pinball games in Japan) have used the seminal anime movie Akira as the blueprint for the game. Specifically, theyve stayed true to the license by rewarding the player with small excerpts from the movie, every time a goal is reached. The game integrates pinball dynamics and cut-scenes seamlessly and it really does give you a small sense of the Akira experience.

In all there are three main play modes: Story, Arcade and Versus.
