The game is set in a nightmare apocalyptic future, where an event called the Conception has left most people on earth dead. Not only can he merely fight the demons, he can defeat them and recruit them to his band, and use their powers to turn the tide of battle. The young lad can even combine demons together, mixing and matching their characteristics to make more powerful allies. He also has the power to use Megatama, an ability which enables him to allow demonic parasites into his body and then harness their power for his own use. Already released to acclaim in Japan and the US, the art in the stunning looking Shin Megami Tensei is the work of celebrated Japanese craftsman Kazuma Kaneko.
