Thanks to the dragons of fire, water, thunder, wind and ice, peace has returned to the world. In this world, the dragons control both nature and the climate. Hence, they are worshiped by humans and humanoids as the protectors of the world. Due to their importance, they are protected by a group of knights known as the dragoons. The story of Dragoneers Aria begins the year Valen graduates from the dragoon school.

A mysterious black dragon suddenly appears and begins to destroy the kingdom. The dragoneers fight back, but are powerless against the enormous powers of the black dragon. Valen survives the attack and is tasked with protecting the dragons from the elements and finding out what the monster wants. Valen must fight alongside brave warriors he encounters on his journey to achieve his goals.

Dragoneers Aria is a turn-based role-playing game. This means that you are on an adventure with a group of characters, have to fight together and that you have to develop your character. The battles revolve around strategy. The player and opponents take turns doing an action and by choosing the right attacks and healing your teammates at the right times, enemies can be defeated. New skills are learned by combining so-called Dragon Orbs with the weapons of the characters.
