The Parasite Eve series is very popular in Japan. The story appeared in book form in the Japanese market in 1995, and was made into a film two years later. Only in 1998 did the first Playstation game about microorganisms that threaten to take over everything on earth appeared. Now the series infects the PSP for the first time with The 3rd Birthday!
In addition to The 3rd Birthday game, The 3rd Birthday: Twisted Edition includes the book CTI Confidential: an exclusive, 44-page hardcover book packed with artwork and illustrations. In addition, this edition includes two Aya Brea lithographs and an Aya Brea outfit that can be worn by Lightning in the upcoming PSP release Dissidia 012 [duodecim
The 3rd Birthday story starts on a late Christmas Eve. Aya and the other members of the New York CTI team are being summoned as there is a widespread dispersal of creatures known as the Twisted. The lead role of The 3rd Birthday is claimed by the young-looking thirty-something Aya Brea.
Aya Brea has to face the gruesome on her own in this role-playing game / shooter. Developed by a dream team from the Square Enix production staff, including several key people who worked on the Final Fantasy and King Hearts series!
Take on the Twisted as Aya with powerful new weapons and her OverDive ability that lets her dive into other peoples bodies. You are also free to dress Aya as you wish. However, if you choose a shirt without sleeves, she will be injured more quickly. The type of clothing therefore influences the protection of the female heroine!
With its detailed graphics, unforgettable characters and a moving storyline, The 3rd Birthday will keep you constantly on the edge of your seat!

The 3rd Birthday är en spin-off på Parasite Eve serien som kom ut till Playstation. Det här spelet utspelar sig i New York, tio år efter händelserna i Parasite Eve II. Man får som vanligt spela som Aya Brea och hon ska ta sig an "the twisted" som hotar New York.

Det var konstigt att de gjorde en spin-off istället för en konkret uppföljare.
