A zombie outbreak kills most of the world, and survival is the only thing that matters to the remnants of humanity in this hell. You play as Randall Wayne, a father looking for his family in an apocalyptic Seattle in 1986. You are separated from your group and must search the streets while avoiding the shadows - the undead remnants of humanity.
Deadlight was released in 2012 on XBLA and shortly afterwards on Steam, and was praised for its artistic direction and rough, mature and atmospheric depiction of a zombie apocalypse that set a new bar.
Explore a ruined Seattle, overcome dangers and obstacles, and solve puzzles while avoiding the shadows of a two-dimensional platform environment. Ammunition and weapons are rare in Deadlight, so you need to decide if its worth fighting back with your weapons, or if its better to use the environment to sneak past and hide from the undead.
Fighting is not always the answer. Take full advantage of the surroundings to entice the shadows into traps or get past undiscovered.
