Akai Katana Shin, a title originally created for arcades, makes its appearance on Xbox 360. The size of the screen has been increased to take full advantage of high-definition televisions, in addition to adapting the entire graphic section to high definition. Akai KatanaShin is set in a fictional era reminiscent of the time of Japans industrial expansion, with a country that had all its hopes pinned on rebuilding. In the midst of economic growth and technical innovation never seen before, the people of this era discovered a new source of energy, a mineral called Guiding Ore. This Guiding Ore was a very powerful source of natural energy, offering other mysterious qualities as well. It could be fused to create a sword, a Guiding Katana, which gave certain soldiers, bearers of special symbols, a unique psychic power. It was said that when the katana killed another human being, it would turn red and endow its owner with impressive power. It was this same power that Emperor Basho used to expand his kingdom, Sowing war between neighboring countries through an elite battalion that carried the so-called blood swords. Now only a small squad of rebels resists his empire and its fearsome generals. The battle for justice begins now.
